Welcome to the Fallen Water Farm Festival
Website!
The
Fallen Water Festival Committee is proud to announce that the proceeds
from the 2008 - 18th annual event went to help Teddy
Fletcher, a Cancer Victim from Luttrell.
Ted
was diagnosed with tonsil cancer on November 4, 2007. He has undergone chemotherapy
for nine weeks and now takes radiation every day. He also takes 2 shots each
day, amounting to a total of $3,500 daily. Medical bills are beginning to get
excessive and he greatly appreciates any help that he gets.
Ted
is married to the former Sonja Linkows. He has three daughters - Tracy,
Jennifer, and Bridget - and six grandchildren. Ted is the son of the late
William and Frieda Fletcher.
Update:
At this time Teddy is doing very well, and hopes to make a complete recovery.
FALLEN WATER FARM
FESTIVAL
1990 - 2008
Say's A Big
Thanks!
With some of the
best talent what a journey and a mission we've had.
Yes, it was
November 3, 1990, a ride some 19 years ago with just a handful of family and
friends in attendance. As the years went by the attendance grew and grew by
leaps and bounds, a festival committee was formed.
So in 1996, we
started a 2 day event that started on Friday evening and lasted all day
Saturday, and was always held on the 3rd weekend in September.
In 1997 state
inspections and water testing began each year. Through out the years we
continued to update the Fallen Water Farm grounds as needed. having helped 30
families and 1 organization thru the festival.
We have had the
honor and privilege to meet so many new friends threw fellowship and working
together as one.
A lady once asked
me how have you done this? The crowds, the success? I said, " Number one,
having God involved. Then having everyone working together and getting
along." Can't say we never had differences, but we always managed to work
things out.
To the festival
committee, former and present, who went out of their way so many times; because
they loved helping others and enjoyed what they did. Bringing home many trophies
for the parades we participated in, and for doing their best no matter what, I
say thank you will all my heart!
So, now due to new
government restrictions that we cannot meet, we are closing down the operations
and locking the gate. This is with much sadness and regret, I wish it could go
on forever.....
A very special
Thank You goes out to:
